The Head Template
To create your own custom made bald cap, you require exact measurements so it can fit. This lecture will teach you how to create a template of your actor's head.
This lecture will show you how to remove the template from the actor's head, safely.
In this lecture, Shannon will show you how to transfer the template and dimensions onto the red head.
Manufacturing the Bald Cap
In this section, we will show you what you will require over the next few lectures to create your bald cap.
Creating a custom bald cap from scratch has many steps. This lecture goes over the process of different layers of latex and powder to make the bald cap.
Once you have manufactured the bald cap, it can be easy to damage it while removing it from the red head. Shannon will show you in this lecture how to gently and easily do so.
Bondo is a useful product to help improve your application of the bald cap. Shannon will show you how to safely mix it together.
Applying the bald cap
If the hairline is not flat prior to application, your bald cap may have a "step" or an imperfect silhouette. In this lecture, learn how to cleanly flatten the hair.
This lecture will teach you how to glue down the bald cap in the first step of application.
Learn how Shannon uses bondo to create a seamless edge to her bald caps.
In this final step of application, learn how to paint the bald cap in realistic skin tones.
Removing the Bald Cap
This lecture will teach you how to remove the bald cap safely from the skin of your actor.
